Portland Chamber Music brings together musicians and audiences from all walks of life in quality, welcoming performances and music education that is accessible to all.

Improving access to music is an important component in the overall goal of achieving equity in arts and culture. Portland Chamber Music believes all people deserve access to quality musical experiences regardless of who they are, how much money they have or where they live. We devote 100% of our time to community outreach, bringing free classical music performances of outstanding quality to underserved communities.

Our outreach efforts benefit individuals of all ages, with varying socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. We purposefully choose concert locations to reach all types of audiences, including underserved neighborhoods, retirement communities, prison populations and people experiencing homelessness.

Portland Chamber Music strongly believes that music enriches the lives of individuals and builds stronger communities. To increase access, we work with local organizations and community focused musicians to provide free-to-attend concerts in places like local churches, schools, public libraries and retirement communities.
